BG-12 Polars
BG 12/16 published polar.
BG 12B published polar.
My derrivation of the information.
Minimum sink.
Below are speeds to fly cross country. Take the expected thermal strength (rising air) and draw a tangent to the polar to find the speed to fly between thermals. Experience says "fly fast" or to the right side of the tangent, when possible.
Zero lift (or sink...).
1 knot up.
2 knots up.
3 knots up.
4 knots up.
